SEALCAM
The Sanday sealcam offers a unique opportunity to follow an Orkney seal colony during the pupping season.
Managed by the Sanday Development Trust’s Ranger and set-up and maintained by Orkney-based Triscom Technology Ltd, the sealcam project was made possible thanks to support and permission from the Towrie family and their staff, funding from Scottish Natural Heritage and sponsorship by Serco Northlink Ferries. The Sanday sealcam allows visitors a unique opportunity to see Orkney’s amazing wildlife up close and personal, and follow the highs and lows of an Orkney seal colony during pupping season from the comfort of their armchair – perfect for those unable to visit the island in person.
Sanday's Famous SEALCAM was live for the 2019/20 season.
